So I had $1800 budget. Everone was saying - save up more money. Well, I'm not a patient man, so I settled today for one in very nice shape and well below my budget. I say settled because it's an automatic. Anywho...here are the details... 1991 Trans Am 305 TPI (LB9) 700R4 Auto Silver w/ gray cloth, T-tops, all gauges work, all power features work, all lights work, A/C blows ice cold, new fuel injectors, new steering colum, new battery, 136K miles, runs great, shifts smooth, runs cool, no smoke, no leaks, body very straight with no rust anywhere, all glass and T-tops great, crazy big blue bird on the hood, and I love the 2 year only rare Trans Am tail lights. What it needs - headlights need help going up and down, missing a radio, all seats need recovered, broken console lid, rear hatch struts, T-tops and doors need new weatherstripping, missing headliner, paint is scuffed on front and rear bumpers. Advertised on Craigslist College Station for $1500 I offered $1200 - he said $1400 was his best - I offered $1300 - he said no and I said Thanks anyways and bye. Got back to my buds car and thought, what am I doing, it's still a bargain at $1400. So I swallowed my pride and said lets make a deal. It was damn near full of gas and it cruised real nice on the 80 mile cruise back. I'm happy

Oh yeah! Good deal! And it has those weird and rare ground effects and spoiler. Please tell me it's a Texas native and rust free??!?!!!
Need to find a set of those wheels your Formula had on it for this car. Now save up for a new Maaco solid silver paint shot.
Happy for you Bud!

Thanks Mike Not sure if Texas native but absolutely no rust. Not even on the T-top center bar. Yeah, hate the cheap 15" wheels. On this car I invision new solid black paint w/ black GTA wheels.

Thats fantastic Albani! I would love one like that black one you linked to also. I agree those rare tail lights have to be my favorite. Looks like a fun ride to me. I'm not sure about the big blue bird. I do know those blue side graphics need to go though LOL... I would say from your comments, that you got a great deal. It definitely needs either the wheels on that black one or the ones like your last one had.

Albani, it feels great when you find your best choice for a project car. Black (without any screaming chicken, but perhaps some nice contrasting pinstriping) with those GTA rims is a very nice choice. It'll be one bad A-body!

I think he should get the screaming chicken ghosted in the paint with a flat paint of the same color.
