Now that my Dad is retired again - he is spending his time cleaning out one of his 3 large shops ( he has around 10K sf total storage space, and it is packed with car stuff).
We were up there last week and he gave my son an old sword that has been hanging on the wall for years. My Dad thought it was a US cavalry sword from the last 30 years or so.
We did some research, and it is a WWII Japanese Kyu Gunto field office's sword. Also, it has a has a hand forged blade that apparently came from a much older sword. During WWII It was a tradition to incorporate the family sword blade into the modern handle - which makes this one much more valuable.
A cool find - my Dad has no idea where it came from and it has hung in his garage and shop for decades.
Back to cars -
If you need a Y block ford engine, flathead V8, Ford 9" rear, etc, etc - let me know. My Dad is cleaning out everything except for a few choice pieces.
