Yeah, I like the name Chevelle and glad to see it come back. I think the car is OK, not great but not ugly. I need to see more pics.

It's a Pontiac G8 with different trim. As long as you can get the 6.0 V8 and the 6-spd, I'm all for it.

God I hope not. It looks like a bloated Dodge Neon, they seriously need to chill with this "rebadging" thing and pull out the old drawing board

I'd like to see the name come back, but they need to make it at least resemble one. What is the deal with the basic looking cars like the new GTOs that look like a Grand Am? They don't need another one like that.

I loved the G8, especially the GXP with the 6-spd. Tons of fun to drive and they sound wonderful too. I was sick when GM killed Pontiac, it was always my favorite brand.
I'm glad they found a way to bring the G8 back. It's still a great car, and in my opinion much better than the FWD Impala and Malibu. A large 4dr V8 rear-wheel-drive car with a big trunk and even a manual transmission offering. Yes please!
That said I agree the style is looking a little dated already compared to a new Charger or the butt-ugly new Taurus, but let Holden get it's foot back in the door with this car and even better things will follow.
And remember, They made thousands of 4dr Chevelle's back in the 60's-70's. That and everyone in 1993 thought calling a "hot-rod" Caprice an Impala SS would be a terrible mistake.......WRONGO! Ha!
I myself am waiting to see the new car in person. The G8 looks much better in person than in pics too.

I think GM is falling behind in all the new Retro cars, the new camaro i think is not retro looking like the challanger's and the chargers are a retro fail in my book as the GTO, Ford's 05 mustang was a good retro then thay screwed it up  That chevelle i think looks awesome look at the rear looks old school !!! If thay build it like that Yellow G8, its gonna be a big fail like the GTO, Awesome powertrain big body fail ! |

But it's good to hear the name coming back. Chevy Chevelle is hard for me to say because of my stutter. So I can't own one or I'd never be able to talk about it with out the use of a chalkboard around my neck.  Does the rear quarter look kinda like a cockroach to you on the red and black one? Bad line on it, makes it look saggy. |
