This weekend is the Kontinentals lone star round up. Huge car show and giant cruse on S. Congress. I went the last two years to the cruse on sat night and it was huge. www.lonestarroundup.com/

I'll probably be down there. I don't know if the Mustang's wiring will be done. If not, I'll be in the F150.
I will probably be a couple blocks north of the Kontinental Club at an auto shop with my friend.

Tired, sunburned and windblown from about 75 miles in the open roadster. Took just a few photos - forgot the camera was in my pocket most of the time. Here is a nice TBird with a cobra supercharged drivetrain. And my personal favorite, out of the Rolling Bones shop, a 32 deluxe coupe: More photos here: s887.photobucket.com/albums/ac79/agshelby/Lone%20Star%20Roundup/

The downtown cruise was bad ass. I wish they did that once a month.

The rat rods are usually pretty scary - I just don't get how poor workmanship, grease/filth, and no styling aesthetic can be a good thing.
Saw one with a gas tank mounted directly behind the driver's head - It looked like the one in your photo. Huge big block, crap welds/workmanship, and a big tank ready to slosh all over the driver.....

I agree with you on that. Some people actually build them really well, but others dont.
Some of the rat rod type cars are cool, but most I just think are wierd.
I just liked watching all the classics cruising.

Wow I thought I was the only one who thought Rat Rods looked like death traps!
