New Interior Ordered

Placed my order today in order to take advantage of CJ pony part's 15% off sale (no tax and free shipping, too).

I am going to updgrade my original, standard mustang interior to the deluxe "pony" interior. Decided to go with the newer style TMI sport seats, which give you side and leg bolsters while using the original frames. An added bonus is head rests, which look original.

Here is a couple of quick photos of the interior from mustang monthly. Mine will be all red, and not the red/white. The red/white is just too loud in a car that already has glowing red paint:

Does yours have headrests? I thought those didn't come out until 69 or so....?

Thats awesome Bud! Are you just doing the seats, or the door panels and so on?

I really want those sport seats that look like they could have been factory. At some point I may redo mine that way, but with the standard upholstery.

A dealer installed headrest from Rotunda was available in 65/66, but they were very ugly (look like round tubes).

The ones I ordered(in the photo link) are not stock, but are styled to appear factory. I have neck issues, and want to try and avoid major whiplash with no headrest in the event of an accident.

I think your right about that Mike.

I am doing the door panels, etc. I already have the steering wheel, and I am going to keep the camera case finish on the gauges. I don't like the woodgrain dash in the deluxe interior.

That should look great with the camera case finish. I don't care for the wood grain either.

Yeah those round head rests are pretty darn ugly.
