Received this e-mail:
We just made the decision to cancel the Father's Day Antique Car Show that is scheduled for this Sunday, 6/21/15. We have been monitoring the weather forecast for Sunday, and it is very inconsistent and varies greatly depending on which meteorologist is making the prediction. Several show a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Our first concern is the safely of the participants, vendors, and workers. Since the event is held in an open parking lot with hundreds of popup canopies and hundreds of antique vehicles, we are concerned that gusty winds, rain, and lightening could create a significant safety issue. We have always dealt with heat on Father's Day, but we have not had any issues with rain in the past 15 years. Even though the forecast may change, we had to make the decision today to give us enough time to contact all of the individuals who have already registered for the show, and the vendors, etc.

Yes this is the show at 51st & Lamar. Seems like they are kind of jumping the gun here. I predict Sunday will be beautiful. See y'all at RRPD instead?
