There is an interesting story on the 61 limo. A man wanted to purchase a car for some nuns. They reluctantly agreed but insisted that it be bare bones with no radio or air conditioning. When the 61 Caddy limo showed up of course even without a radio or a/c it was way too flashy. The nuns tried to return it to the dealer but were told it would not sell because it didn't have a/c. So most of its life it went unused. Later in its life it was used in movies. The current owner has retrofitted it with air conditioning & rents it out for weddings & stuff. |
