merc progress

Been working on the Merc again. Finally cut the door frames off. After a few hours of work, got the pass side done. I'm sure there is some finish work I will do later, but for now, they fit right and work. Now on to the drivers side.

I want to know how you get a rear window made for something like this?

That is a major undertaking. Looks like you are doing some fine work. The backwindow is the same dimensions, just laid down, correct ?

Pro Glass in G'town can get or make almost anything.

The windows changed a little in shape, but not much. I chopped the car pretty much the same in front and back. Since it is a 4-door, I wanted it to look very similar to the stock profile instead of the extreme slant towards the back you usually see on Mercs. Just wanting to make this one a little different than what you usually see. Normally, when I have seen 4-door Mercs chopped, they get rid of the curved profile on the back of the rear doors. I liked it and decided the extra work to keep it was worth it.

Here are some more pics I took this last week. The first one shows the part of the rear door I did twice the work to keep. Check out the gap. That took some time to get right. The other pics give a good idea of how much I chopped it.
