Washed the 79 Buick and picked up Dad and we ran over to the weekly cruise-in last night. Real nice time, weather in the 70's, windows down and a nice breeze, and lots of sharp cars to drool over when we got there. Saw some friends and had a nice visit with everyone. As usual my camera sucks for night pics. I need a new one, but you'll get a idea. Nice turn-out. Fairlane 500, 79 Buick, 75 Vette, new Camaro and my Dad kicking back. Familier 65 Mustang and a sharp Camaro Split-bumper '70 Z-28 So do you want a Hugger Orange '69 Camaro with white or black stripes? Both showed up tonight! Ford Hot Rod '56 Chevy Vipers, Vettes, and Camaros Porsche 911 Targa with a 427 Chevy V8 in it. Zoommm! Custom '68 Firebird Mustang II 66 Mustang GT Fastback Sharp Ford Hot Rod You never know what's going to show up at the Cruise-In Nova Fun Clean '80 Camaro Auburn Speedster Custom Ford Pickup Model A Grand National parked next to the Electra. MAN I wish these pics came out better. This was a SHARP one! Mean 69 Camaro 70 Mustang Notchback, The Hoss MEAN Tubbed Pickup! Twin of my friend Crovo's Subie, funny! 72 Chevelle Nissan Rocket It's the Camaro from Fast Times at Ridgemont High Clean Mustang from my High School years 2004 GTO CLEAN C-10 Baja Bug Fun Evening! Sorry my camera sucks! -Mike

It was good seeing you Mike. The new tailpipes on the Buick look nice.

Dang! I missed out on a great meet. Had to do dinner with the in-laws that evening, but I'll be out there this Saturday with the MG.
I hope a lot of these cars come back for another round. There were some really interesting ones in there that I want to see up close.
I'm diggin' that Baja Beetle!
I hear that fastback is freshly restored and is original. AWESOME.

That's the 1st thing that popped in my head when I saw pics of your car! Ha!

That's the 1st thing that popped in my head when I saw pics of your car! Ha! Actually, I haven't had any issues with the wire wheels because of the tiny tires. I'd imagine if I had sticky tires (which don't exist for 14's) that I could have an issue during a launch. As it is now, if I really get it on it hard, it will just light 'em up. So far I've had the car up to 128 per my GPS and didn't fling any spokes lol.... You'll know when I do though. The story will probably be in the back of the newspaper near the Comics, under "Darwin Award".
