Is it sacrilegious to put Olds Rallye SS II Wheels on a 69 Mustang?
Pending a craigslist transaction it might be happening soon. I just need some wheels with good tires that I can use to get my car moving since all the current tires are dry rotted.
Thoughts?

I guess it is so sacrilegious it might just be impossible since the Ford is 5x4.5" lug spacing and the Olds is 5x4.75".
Back to looking.

Most AMC and some Chryco's will fit the Mustang but no GM's. A small problem is the center hole is too large on Chryco's and I'm not sure about AMC wheels.

Original owner of my '67 Camaro put 14" Olds ralleye rims on the car. She had them painted Marina blue to match the car so I left them on. The Olds Rocket on the center caps is covered over in black so it looks OK. Eventually they'll have to go when the L6 gets tired and it gets an LS transplant.

Good looking but not to be: austin.craigslist.org/pts/2621952779.htmlIf anyone has any leads on 14 inch tires or decent wheels with 5 on 4.5" lugs between 14 and 17 inches with tires let me know. I need to get something ASAP.

Got a friend with a set of 08' GT wheels and tires for $350.00. You need spacers to run them though, about another $100.00.

Its a good thing the bolt pattern wont allow it, because it would be sacrilegious. I vote for some 15-16 inch Magnum 500 wheels.
I thought you just needed tires that would work for a temporary setup. I would not waste any money on wheels you really don't want.

If I could get some 235s on tactful classic chrome wheels for 250-300 it would be worth it to me. The wheels I want will cost me over a grand before tires so I think it makes sense especially of the wheels have potential resale value in the future.

Maybe some Pep Boys special Futura tires. They used to sell a set for 100 bucks.

Found a set of used 14" tires for $60 today!!!! They are not too shabby and will last the next 2-3 years while I get it running and will pass inspection.
I will get them mounted and balanced next week.

As you have found... Olds rims on a Mustang is not only sacreligious but impossible. One question... why not 15" rims on that hoss of yours?

One question... why not 15" rims on that hoss of yours? $$$ My car has much more urgent matters that need attention than new wheels. If I could have gotten new tires and wheels for $200-300 then I would have, but anything over $300 would have been spending money that could go towards new suspension, steering, electrical, etc., etc.
