I have an old Airstream trailer - and we have escaped the heat for a few weeks. We went up to the mountains of New Mexico and now we are up near Flagstaff. The high today was 83, and it was a chilly 50 this am. We are going to visit the Grand Canyon for a few days and then finish off with a few days up in Colorado fishing. Where we are heading to in Colorado the highs will be in the mid 70s and could see 45 for a low.
I must be getting old be cause I am seriously thinking about moving to a cooler climate in a couple of years (at least for the summer months).

Young or old doesn't matter right now, it's damn hot around here and we are all thinking like you.

Yeah, Its just too hot around here in July and August. The rest of the year is great. I don't want to have any colder winters than we do here.

Yeah, Its just too hot around here in July and August. The rest of the year is great. I don't want to have any colder winters than we do here. It got hot this year in April, and it has not let up. I love Texas, but like it better when the HOT is late May-mid Sept, not early April- ?? I agree on winters. I spent from 8th-12th grades in New Jersey and worked after shhool at a full-service gas station from 10th-12th grades. I've shoveled enough snow and had enough frozen red fingers and frostbitten ears to last me a lifetime! But this year here is just NUTS it's so hot and dry. Come on FALL! -Mike

To use my Dad's terms - we received a 6" rain in Georgetown yesterday evening.
(the rain drops came down 6" apart) - for a period of about 30 seconds.
