Hey, I have a 61 Greenbriar! Doesn't look as good as that one. Also a 63 Corvair coupe, 90 Suburban, 91 Jimmy, 02 Century, and 09 Vibe, part GM. The only GM I've owned but don't still have is a 89 Cutlass.

Trust me, it really isn't pretty, a major project. I'll see if I can figure out how to post a pic or I could send one to you.

Okay, here it is. I told you it wasn't pretty but has potential. To redeem myself, the 63 Corvair my parents bought new.

Yep. The good ole Rampside.
And Brewman on your van, nothing a good coat of paint (or several) can't help. Does it run?

I would kind of like to have one of those too. That Rampside looks like the one a friend used to have. The van will run when it feels like pumping gas from the tank or I use an aux fuel tank. Don't know if the pump is weak or a line is clogged. It does have some rust through issues at the bottom of both front doors and rockers. I also found out the seats have the original covers under the ones the previous owner installed.

That Rampside is super cool. I'm not sure I ever saw one before.

I thought VW had a rampside also, but I couldn't find one. I found this though...

I think thats as close as VW got. Chevy also made a Loadside, a Rampside without the ramp. Was mostly useless but I have seen a couple of them with mid-V8s. Also rare is a Corvair station wagon but have seen several since living in Austin.

I too dig the Corvair vans. I saw one of the pickup versions at Rudy's last year. It was brown on gold I think.

Here is my high school car... not all that impressive but kinda cool. I remember a lot of folks then thinking it was a Monte Carlo.

Nice, GM made some nice cars in the 70s even if power and quality were down. Someday I would like to have a 77 Pontiac Can Am.

Ok, it took me a while to dig through some old photo albums, but here we go. Most of the pics were old Polaroids I scanned, so they're not great. Wish I had taken more when I had the cars. This is a 67 Firebird I bought with a 326. Left the hood emblem and dropped in a 400. Had some fun in that little sleeper. Here's my 65 El Camino that I wish I still had. 350, turbo 400. This is a 65 GTO that I was going to turn into a drag car. Never happened. This 74 Vette was a lot of fun. Had this car when I was young enough to take advantage of it. Here's the one that I'll wish I had kept till the day they nail the lid down. 70 GTO Judge. Ram Air III 400. Hurst 4-Speed. Power top, bench seat (wierd), hood tach. Bought this car with 83K miles from the original owner for $950.00. Of course that was a long time ago and had no idea what it would be worth now. Oh well.

For those who don't know what a Can Am was..... GM Forever knows a guy that has one of those. He sometimes takes it to Cars and Coffee. Thats a neat one.

Those are some very cool rides v8vega. I am a big fan of the fist gen Firebirds. Also, that Judge is really something else.

I know they didn't make very many J70' udge converts at all. To buy one now you really need the Space Shuttle....the price is that high. And the 65' GTO......wow......

I like that. Pimpolitious! Hey, back then, it was actually cool. Ok, maybe only I thought that. I put power windows, door locks, and door actuators on it. Probably wasn't Osha approved, but you just pushed a button and the door opened. The seats were out of a 70's era custom van.
