That is an aftermarket conversion that was done about 10 years ago by mustang parts dealerships. It is funny (sad) that they are noting that this very cheaply done (have seen them in person) conversion of a coupe as "rare". It was just a failed business opportunity from an aftermarket dealer that didn't sell. They are very ugly ... VERY ugly. The rear window and trunk treatment is very poorly designed and does not flow with the car. It looks like a backyard hack job design.
Ford did make a concept retractable mustang. It maintained the mustang roofline and had the quarters slightly extended to fit the retracted roof. They didn't go into production because they did not think the manual top would sell.
