Well, my slow drip turned into a small stream this week. The front of the transmission is leaking very bad - pouring out. I moved it in/out of the garage and about a pint leaked out within a minute.
Eagle transmission will not cover the warranty - even though the transmission is low miles. It has only been on the road a year - but was rebuilt 18 months ago.
I am very disappointed in their position. This is not a 'normal' car - and it has not been abused or neglected.
So ... rather than spend more $$ on a 3 speed, I am looking for an AOD to build.

Well that sure sucks. I guess that means the Mustang won't be coming out to our show this weekend. The AOD swap sounds like a great idea to me. What's actually leaking? Did you have an issue with it a while back?

What gears you got in the back? 2:80 gear, I believe - it is pretty high. I have never validated it. I do have a quantity of 3 Ford 9" housings, so if I go with an AOD I will get a better gear and a locker for it. Yep had an issue a month or so back was with band adjustment. the retainer nut had came loose and it was out of adjustment. It is leaking from the front seal. Leaking ALOT ... Going to pull it out Sunday am. Eagle said they would diagnose it and repair it if I brought it in. I installed this one myself last year -

I'll be interested to follow your AOD conversion because I think that will be in my future.
