I used to pull a trailer full of yard equipment with one of these. No joke, it was slow, but it never broke down. Had the most tired feeling transmission ever though.

Back when I was in H.S. these were in every issue of minitruckin' they were pretty cool as lowriders. It's basically as blank a slate as you can find in a truck body. And mod you do to it makes it your own piece of art.

I have seen some like that and a few of them were pretty neat.

My Dad had one when they were new. Some good lines to work with - but way underpowered (as were all 4 cylinders back then). I have seen one with a 302 and a toploader four speed, and it was adapted to be a roadster. There used to be a company that made a kit to adapt the little truck hard tops to make them removable - and they would attach back on with clamps on the interior. Made a nice (and cheap) little hauler.

Who remembers the factory Dakota convertible? I always thought it was both cool and goofy at the same time.

There is a Dakota convertible stored where I keep my Airstream trailer. Think it was for sale for 3K or so.
