Thanks all! Been an interesting weekend so far.... Misty had her surgury to remove her gall bladder yesterday. She'd been having pains on her left side, and her gall bladder is on her right side. I'm still not sure how that's connected, or why a healthy 34-year-old women would have a dead gall bladder, but that's what they told us needed to be done, so we did. Sugury went well. We went in to the hospital yesterday morning at 7:30 am and she was out of surgury by 10, and we got to go home by 2pm. Amazing how technology has advanced, I'm shocked we got to go home so fast. It was done lapriscopically, so no huge cuts or big stiches. It was all done through six small holes. She was able to take a shower tonight and was walking ....slowly, around the house today. She's still VERY sore but the drugs help. I'm 37 today. 37 doesn't feel a lot different than 36...that's pretty much all I can think to say about it. My in-laws came down from Dallas on Thursday night to help out with the kids, and with Misty. My mother-in-law cooked a huge lunch of smoked ham, noodles, bread, and fried chicken. My parents and brother came over, even Misty was at the table. Later there was cake and ice cream, they did it up for me. I've got a good family. Ready for this, my brother got me a 14-megapixel digital camera! Ha! My "old reliable" is only 5-megapixel. And this new one is tiny. BUT he didn't get me an SD card, so I had to use my old camera today. Ha! My other gift was my mother-in-law sent myself, my Dad and Father-in-law, and my older son, off to the hill country for a motorcycle ride. I protested, didn't want to leave Misty the day after surgury, but my mother-in-law said she took care of Misty for 18 years of spills and cuts, and could handle it. And Misty also told me to get out. So we did! Nice ride! I was on my old '82 Yamaha Seca, my father-in-law rode the yellow '96 Magna, and my Dad was on his Road Star. My kiddo took turns riding behind his grandfathers. He's not allowed to ride on the Seca with me because it doesn't have a sissy bar, the other bikes do. We rode about 45-miles west to Marble Falls, then north to Burnet, we we have the ranch, and then took back roads east to Cedar Park, and got back into town just in time to stop at the Saturday Cruise-In. Good times. Was a nice birthday! Posting cruise-in pics in a sec. Enjoy! -Mike

I'm glad to hear the operation went well.
Sounds like a great time on the motorcycles. I must have just missed you. I went to Hutto to pick up my friend before coming to the meet.

I actually saw you on 1431 and waved from the motorcycle. We left pretty early. It was HOT and we'd been riding all afternoon... It sure wasn't hot today!

I didn't see you, but now that you mention it, I did see some motorcycles.
It felt nice today.
