For your possible amusement, here is an abandoned and closed roadside rest area on I-35.
It has been closed for at least 2-3 years. Sadly it has historical markers that have also been left behind.
Pretty sad. Makes me wonder if they will ever move them and maintain the history we lose more of every day.
